In February of 2002 we, Marjolein and Daniel, started the planning of our wedding ceremony and wedding party in Denmark. At that time, we were living in Boston, USA, and our source of information was limited to internet. Since, Marjolein is Dutch and Daniel is Swedish, we agreed to hold the wedding in Denmark, conveniently located in between the two countries.

After an extensive research of all the castles and other party locations in Denmark, we decided to celebrate our big day at Harridslevgaard Castle. So the location was therefore determined, but there were so many more questions without answers:

Where could the ceremony be held?, Who could serve food and what would be on the menu?, What if (forgive us saying) it would rain?, Who could be D.J.?, Where could our 110 guests be accommodated? etc.

All these issues plus many more were solved with the extra ordinary help we received from Harridslevgaard Castle. A matter of fact, the entire wedding was actually planned without us being in contact with anyone else but Harridslevgaard. Without their help our perfect "out of a story book" wedding could never have been possible. We married at the castle, on the 24th of August 2002, and we could not have asked for a single thing to be different (not even the weather).

It will be a day for us and all our guests to always remember.
